ITV's 60 MINUTES MAKEOVER, Croydon

Mark and Heidi tragically lost their daughter Mollie to leukaemia last year - which was very difficult for all the family. Heidi nursed Mollie as her condition deteriorated and they both stopped work in order to spend more time with the children. Mark describes Heidi as a giving person, who always helps others and who loves surprising people. Mark now things it's time to surprise Heidi and called in 60 Minute Makover to re-vamp their 3 bed semi.

THE BOYS BEDROOM

Before the makeover After the makeover Walltalker sample

This room doesn’t look like the fun space it should be for football crazy Cameron and Nathan. Derek is going all out here with the football theme using striking white and green carpet tiles which not only look fab but are also easy to replace if one gets stained. The walls are far from perfect and we have less time then a footie match so a snappy and imaginative way to cover them up is to blow up football images and mount them onto kappa board. Blackboard paint and magnetic write on wallpaper not only look cool but give the boys a chance to be creative on the walls without getting into trouble! The football theme continues on the blind, artwork and accessories. The pine furniture is going straight into the skip and a sleek black metallic bunk bed is being introduced which is more in fitting for the taste of two growing boys.

Today's designer is Derek Taylor who is up for the challenge. He is full of ideas and raring to get going on giving this neglected house some much needed designer flair.
